ICET 2009 World Assembly
TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS
Accommodations
Special rates have been negotiated for World Assembly attendees at the Intercontinental Hotel, for December 12-20, 2009.
Rates

Single standard room: OMR 85.000 per night inclusive of breakfast and tax

Double standard room: OMR 100.000 per night inclusive of breakfast and tax
-
100 "mountain view" rooms have been reserved for World Assembly attendees at the above rates.
Additional rooms will be given subject to availability. Accommodations with a sea view can be booked in
advance, at an additional cost of OMR 20.000 per room/night.
Making reservations at the Intercontinental Hotel
To reserve your rooms at the above rates, please follow these steps:

Log in to
http://www.intercontinental.com

Click on "RESERVATIONS" (a tab near the top of the page, toward the center)

Scroll down to "Oman" in the Middle East section and select "Muscat"

Input the dates of your arrival and departure
Group Code: SQU

Click "Check Availability" after inputting all required information.

Click "Select Room" — and then on the following page, "Select Rate."

Input complete information in the required fields along with the credit card details. Click "Continue," and
wait for your confirmation number.

Air Travel
We have found that it is relatively simple to compare itineraries and prices at
http://www.kayak.com. We have also heard that you may sign up with
http://www.yapta.com to track ticket prices and, after you have booked your flights, to obtain refunds (from some airlines) if the ticket prices drop. Yapta watches the ticket prices and if your ticket drops in price, you may receive a voucher for the difference. (Read the details on this; we have not yet tried it ourselves. It may be that this
only works if you purchase your tickets directly from the airline, as opposed to one of the other online travel websites.)
